Can I take other headache pills (strong or otherwise) with Excedrin Extra Strength?
You should ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking any other drug with Excedrin ES. Excedrin ES contains an NSAID (aspirin), which may cause severe stomach bleeding. The chance is higher if you take other drugs containing prescription or nonprescription NSAIDs (aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, or others). You shouldn’t use Excedrin ES with any other drug containing acetaminophen (prescription or nonprescription). If you are not sure whether a drug contains acetaminophen, ask a doctor or pharmacist.
